Shazam syncs your matches finally

Shazam is a pretty amazing app which fills a very important niche in the market - letting you know exactly what song is playing when you just can't identify it.

The app has become much speedier in recent years and also pops up with links to more relevant information as well as giving you the option to listen again on Spotify or even buy the track on Google Play Music of iTunes.

They're all great additions but one element had been left out until recently - syncing of your matches across devices. Thankfully that's been addressed in the latest update to the app.

Now once you're signed in with your Shazam account all of the matches you've made are synced no matter where you are. That includes moving between devices like phones and tablets, or if you get a new handset, and also on the desktop site.

It's a pretty fundamental aspect of the service and a strange thing to have left out up to now, but the good news is that its now here and you don't have to keep your really old phone just because it has some nice matches on it.
