Flaked hits Netflix this week - with Irish actress Ruth Kearney
Netflix's original content is really booming, with the launch of House of Cards last week and Daredevil coming on the 18th of March. Sandwiched in between both of those shows is a new comedy starring Will Arnett (Arrested Development) and Irish actress Ruth Bradley (The Following).
Flaked is the story of a man played by Arnett who lives in California and has a complicated past that just keeps intruding into his attempt to life in the present. It comes from the brains of Arnett and Mark Chappell with input from Arrested Development creator Mitchell Hurwitz. Here's a trailer.
There's a damaged central chararacter and some quirky sorts. It all looks very low key and we're going to guess more gently funny than out and out hilarious, with a fair dose of drama. The supporting cast includes Heather Graham, Annabelle Gish, Kirstie Alley and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. It also features Irish actress Ruth Kearney in the role of London - the waitress at the centre of the drama. She previously worked with Kevin Bacon on The Following so she's becoming quite a hit!
All eight 30 minute episodes of Flaked will hit Netflix on the 11th of March at 8.01am Irish time.
