Web watch: DIY bird mobile
I really like Zoe’s philosophy of slowing things down and not buying into the ‘speed-obsessed’ world around her. She’s a new mama to adopted Ethiopian twins and she has an interesting perspective on stuff. Her writing style is very intimate and chatty, with topics covering everything from life and love to food and design. In her words: ‘Slow living is about connectedness, beauty, simplicity, quality, a sense of place, sustainability, craftsmanship, tradition, and community’. I’ll have some of that, please.

Business Sewing, Furniture, Paper, Food, All. Best tabs ever, you know what you’re getting on this site. The food page is really super. Lemon pud cakes. Pretty-good-for-you Apple Crisp. Candied Key Lime slices. Stop drooling, I’m not finished yet. There’s loads of cute little projects, like a DIY bird mobile made for a friend. The designer chose four different fabrics and tried to coordinate them to the colours and fabrics in her buddy’s nursery. Which really only leaves one question: why the hell don’t I have friends like that?
