IT’S A small world, isn’t it? Well, not really.

The surface area of the earth is 510 million square kilometres. Running into a friend at the gym doesn’t change that.

Still, Little Big Planet 2 (PS3; RRP €59.99) does make you think twice about the world we live in. This is a game in which players can design and upload their own creations for others to play, a constant stream of imagination and ingenuity from every corner of the earth. What’s fascinating about Little Big Planet isn’t the underlying technology that allows this to happen, but the enthusiasm with which gamers have taken to it.
