Easter eggs are all about the children, right? Yet, we buy half-dark, half-milk eggs, streaked with crunchy bits, spots, stripes, and coloured icing, when what all they (and many adults) really want is an egg made of milk chocolate.

So, with a focus on children this year, I enlisted my granddaughter Bea to help me, not just to taste eggs, but to buy them too.
