This summer has been ridiculously unpredictable, not just in Ireland but in wine regions across Europe. Damp weather is everywhere and has caused havoc throughout the continent from Austria to Bordeaux to the Loire. 

Spain has had the opposite problem with drought in some regions and damaging hail storms in others.
