Murphy’s Cork Oyster festival takes place this weekend

The Rising Tide in Glounthane will host the Murphy's Cork Oyster Festival from Friday 26 - Sunday 28 June 2015.

A number of marquees will provide entertainment and sustenance for festival-goers over the weekend.

The event opens with live music from The Clubmen from 6pm Friday in an 80 foot marquee. There will be an oyster marquee on site, while non-seafood lovers will be catered for with a barbecue marquee.

On Saturday 27 June, "Sandra's Style Night" will take place at 7pm, kicking off with Pimm's and Prosecco on the lawn followed by a barbecue, hair demonstrations and a fashion show featuring some of Cork's best boutiques.

On Saturday night, music will be provided by Stevie G.

Families will be welcomed to the festival on Sunday 28 June for a family fun day. As well as oysters and a barbecue, children's entertainers will be performing from 2pm - 5pm.

Tickets for the Style Night are €45 and are available from the Rising Tide. All other events are free.
