Promise fulfilled at Jacques
A wine bottle label may not seem an obvious place to publish an anti-banker tirade disguised as a political manifesto but that’s what Spanish winemaker Gonzalo Gonzalo Grijalba has done with his Gran Cerdo red.
The wine is made from grapes harvested on 4.5 hectares of 35-year-old de-classified Rioja vines — declassified because Gonzalo Gonzalo cropped over the permissible six tonnes per hectare ratio and therefore there is no vintage on the label.
