Mum’s the word

MOST of us were total pests at some stage during our teens. In later years, we look back with regret at the torment and annoyance we caused our long-suffering parents and, hopefully, we have found the courage and humility and the right moment to tell them how sorry we are for the hoops we put them through.

Mum’s the word

Mother's Day gives us all, young and old, the opportunity to let actions speak louder than words. A really yummy breakfast in bed or a pretty tray with a posy of flowers is always a delight that's unless you are one of those rare people who get irate if toast crumbs find their way into the bed.

Alternatively, you could bake a cake, make a luscious pudding or cook an entire meal so mum gets a well earned night off.
