50ac Golden Vale holding in South Tipp already under offer
The fine land at Rathroe, Thurles, Co Tipperary is 12km from Horse and Jockey and access to the M8. it is roughly 19km to 20km from Thurles and Cashel.
A 50-acre holding in South Tipperary, 1.5km east of the village of Killenaule is new to the market with Thurles-based auctioneer Nicholas Maher. The property is already under offer, the agent confirms.
The farm is in the townland of Rathroe and presents a very good quality holding, according to the selling agent; being suitable for any agricultural enterprise.
“It’s a very fine piece of land,” says Nicholas. “There’s a great stretch of road frontage giving you easy access and you’ve options of permanent pasture or options of tillage land… It’s in a very good area too — close to Horse and Jockey and to Cashel.”
This is in one of the most sought-after parts of Ireland, where a mixture of dairying, beef cattle, tillage and equestrian operations all combine. Horse and Jockey and access to the M8 is 12km away, while Thurles and Cashel are roughly equidistant (19km-20km) from the holding.
The layout of the property comprises approximately four large, well-maintained paddocks (all currently in grass), together with additional lands in scrub which offer further potential.
There is a useful outbuilding for storage and the price expectation is at a reasonable €550,000 (€11,000/acre).
