A 38-acre farm near Kerry International Airport is new to the market with Castleisland-based auctioneers Mannix Property Services and is already taking off, attracting interest for its good quality and convenience.

The holding is all in one block at Reevaun, Currow – approximately 10km from Killarney, 4km south of Currow village and 5km from Kerry Airport.

“It’s good quality land,” says selling agent Brendan Mannix. “The residence, I’m told, was inhabited up to about 10 years ago… It looks sound and would obviously qualify for the Vacant Property grant and possible the Dereliction Grant, but it’s principally in the land that the main interest lies.

“It’s free-draining, with the River Oughreagh on its eastern boundary. There are outbuildings, including an old dairy unit, cubicles, hay sheds… it isn’t the most modern of yards but there are buildings of use and some cattle handling facilities.”

There is a private water supply, as well as mains water and electricity connected.

Access is excellent, with approximately 350 metres of road frontage and internal roadways and good quality boundary fencing. There are also entitlements coming with the farm, further details of which can be obtained from the selling agents.

“The interest has been very strong so far,” says Brendan, “and the property only went on the market yesterday.”

The price expectation is €520,000 (€13,600/acre).
