The fertile land to the east and south of Cork City is amongst the most coveted in Munster – both for its prestigious location and for the quality of its deep fertile acres.

A recent addition to the market is a small but perfectly formed 15-acre parcel at Kilcolman, Old Head, Kinsale.

“It’s excellent land – really high quality,” says Kinsale-based selling agent Brendan Bowe of Bowe Property. “It has been under tillage and it’s a very workable piece of ground that would be a nice addition to any farming entity in this part of the world, which is a very progressive and competitive area.”

To date, the enquiries in the small holding have been coming mainly from farming interests, Brendan says: “Interest has been really good and is predominantly from farming entities – which is interesting because this area attracts a good degree of investors and overseas buyers wanting a property with the coveted address of The Old Head and close to it.”

There’s good road frontage and although a small section is lost to a ravine, there’s very little wastage, with a reasonable price expectation of €395,000 (€26,000/acre).
