The 92-acre farm at Ballinluig East, Minane Bridge, Co. Cork.

New to the market with Cork-based auctioneers Cahalane Skuse is a 91.9-acre holding at Ballinluig East, Minane Bridge —7km from Carrigaline and 23km southeast of Cork City.

The substantial land parcel has access onto both the R611 (Carrigaline-Belgooly road) and the L3210. The lands are mainly south-facing and free-draining.

“The land is very good,” says Niall. “It’s great quality land — all under permanent pasture and in one block, except for one area; of the ca. 92 acres, there is one area of around 2.7 acres across the public road from the main part where there’s afforestation.

“Aside from that, you have over 88 acres of great land in one field with direct public road access.”

The property is guiding at €1,500,000 (€16,300/acre) — an unsurprisingly high guide but far from extravagant, given its location and the level of quality of pasture that it offers.

Any lands close to the growing suburban area of Cork City come with a high premium; as much for their proximity to the ‘real capital’ as for the rarity, particularly with holdings like this one, approaching the 100-acre size.

The farm is already under offer.
