The Local Enterprise Village will accommodate 30 small businesses from across the country, at this year’s Ploughing Championships.
Offering those of us who stroll past, an opportunity to see and sample an array of products from establishing businesses and budding entrepreneurs.
The exciting venture has worked well in the past, with the Local Enterprise Office having helped many fledging businesses get a footing. And now at this year’s ploughing event it’s here yet again. Assisting with merchandising, sales, marketing and social media to ensure all maximize the opportunity to exhibit at one of Europe’s largest outdoor events.

This year the Local Enterprise Offices will partner with Google, as part of the Local Enterprise Village and this will be the first time that Google will have a presence at the Ploughing Championships.
So it will be a case of, a very big business and many small businesses coming together under the one roof.
Speaking at the launch of this beneficial partnership at this year’s ploughing event, Kieran Comerford, Chair of the Local Enterprise Offices said: “This partnership with Google as part of the Local Enterprise Village will significantly enhance the offering of the Local Enterprise Offices as part of this year’s National Ploughing Championships.
“Not only is it an opportunity for the 30 businesses to be able to access the expertise of Google in digitising their business, but it is open to any small business owner or budding entrepreneur who is visiting the Ploughing across the three days. It will give them a chance to see what these digital tools can unlock in their business and enable them to become more competitive and productive.

“As always, the Local Enterprise Village has something for everyone who drops in, and showcases the very best of Irish small business from across the country. We’ve been working hard with the businesses to help them maximise their offering and we’re looking forward to opening the doors in Screggan in September.”
So what will be on display? Well keep your shirt on! In fact maybe take your shirt off, because there will be a company exhibiting at the Local Enterprise Village that could have clothing and garments that suit you far better.
