Lamb trade weakens post-Easter as supplies rise
The cut in the factory prices have impacted only slightly on the live trade at the marts, at least so far, while the numbers on offer remain low, and most centres are experiencing full clearances.
The lamb trade has weakened at the factories in the post-Easter celebrations market, and prices on offer are down by up to 25c/kg.
Supplies of spring lambs are increasing slowly week on week, while the factories will continue to rely on the hoggets for the bulk of market requirements for some further weeks.
