Milk supply down 26m litres 

The May 2024 figure is also down 33.3m litres (2.9%) when compared with the same month in 2022.

For the period January to May 2024, milk supply to processors was estimated at 3.34bn litres, a decline of 210.9m (5.9%).

Milk supply was estimated at 1.13bn litres in May 2024, a decrease of 26.4m (2.3%) when compared with May 2023, CSO figures show.

This May 2024 figure is also down 33.3m litres (2.9%) when compared with the same month in 2022.
