The lamb trade is only heading one way these weeks and producers can't believe their eyes or their ears at the record-breaking prices being paid.
For the second consecutive week, the hogget/lamb prices at the live sales at the marts are setting new record prices for the sector, while the processing plants are under pressure to source sufficient amid their increased price offerings.
