Calls for delay to hedgecutting dates

Inclement weather in recent months has meant ground is completely saturated and it has been difficult to get machinery out without damaging it.

A temporary hedge-cutting extension has been sought because many farmers have been unable to comply with a March 1 deadline as contractors have been unable to move machinery onto saturated land.
