'Getting winter ready' on-farm beef events kick off in Cork

There will be an opportunity for farmers to discuss winter housing diets for weanlings, stores, finishing cattle and suckler cows, with local Teagasc advisors and cattle specialists.

Teagasc and Animal Health Ireland (AHI) are running a series of on-farm beef events throughout October to highlight the importance of housing, nutrition, and animal health to maximise performance over the winter months.

The first in the series of nine events arranged across the country will take place on Wednesday, October 4, on the farm of Tom Jackson, Quitrent, Kildorrery, Co Cork.
