More cuts to come as co-ops warn of longer-term imbalance

Prices may be up across all commodities at this week's Dutch Dairy Auction. However, there is little comfort for suppliers as all sit at, or close to, their lowest rate in the last two to three years.

There was more milk price misery this week as Carbery and Dairygold became the latest two to knock a further 2cpl off their base prices for August as processors warn of longer-term supply imbalance.

Carbery reduced its base milk price for August by 2cpl. However, it is continuing to support its current price from its 'Stability Fund', allocating 3cpl of support for August milk.
