Knackeries say they will shut due to talks failure

The Animal Collectors Association says knackeries are no longer financially viable.

Collectors of livestock which die on farms reduced their services today, only dealing with animals delivered to their premises, and were on the verge of a complete shutdown after the breakdown of their talks with the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM), in which they sought additional state support.
