EU citizens in initiatives to ramp up environment measures

A European citizens’ initiative has been organised to phase out synthetic pesticides by 2035, to restore biodiversity, and to support farmers in the transition.

If it receives one million statements of support from at least seven member states in the year starting September 30 next, the European Commission will analyse and respond to the initiative.
