Munster farmers discuss distribution of EU's €100m Brexit Beef Fund

Munster beef farmers will discuss the equitable distribution of the EU's the €100m Brexit Beef Fund at IFA's regional information meeting in the Riverside Park Hotel, Macroom, at 8.30pm on Wednesday, June 12.

IFA president Joe Healy and other speakers will update farmers on the distribution plans and take on board farmers' views.

"IFA have put in a long campaign on behalf of beef and livestock farmers to pressurise EU and Government to put a compensation package in place to assist farmers who have taken very poor prices for their livestock due to the uncertainty around Brexit," said Sean Clarke, IFA Cork.

"It is important now that the fund is in place, that it is distributed to those farmers who suffered the losses."

All farmers in the region are advised to attend this meeting.

A further information meeting for the Munster region will take place on Monday, June 17, in the South Court Hotel, Limerick at 8.30pm.
