Crop growth explodes due to improved conditions

An explosion of growth in spring cereals, fodder beet and potatoes due to last week’s rain and high soil temperatures has been reported this week by the Teagasc Crops Knowledge Transfer Department.

Growers were advised the return to damp weather will increase pressure from wet weather diseases.
