The lamb trade is going through a significant turnaround at the factories this week where a lot of uncertainty on market returns forward has taken a hefty slice from returns to producers.

Some of the factories are very cautious about quoting forward, adopting a day-by-day approach, while others have shaved as much as 40 cents/kg off last week’s prices for the lambs.
