Grianan Estate organic farm in Donegal sold for €17m

One of Europe’s largest organic farms, the sprawling Grianan Estate in Co Donegal, has been sold to Glenmore Farms of Ballybofey for €17.4m.

Savills Ireland, on behalf of Donegal Investment Group, confirmed the sale of the estate which is situated at Speenoge, Burt, less than a 20-minute drive from Letterkenny.

The property of 2,400 acres consists mainly of land reclaimed from Lough Swilly, making it particularly fertile and suitable for all farming enterprises. It also features a 500-acre lake.
