Copa & Cogeca welcomes less red tape for fruit and vegetable producers

EU farmer group Copa & Cogeca has welcomed the European Commission’s decision to simplify rules and increase supports for fruit and vegetable producers.

Copa & Cogeca fruit and vegetable spokesman, Party Philippe Appeltans, said: “The Commission’s decision to cut red tape in the fruit and vegetables sector is welcome news. This is a result of two years of work.

“Support will also be increased under the move.
