Farm Walk and Talk helps students gain on-farm insights
The six-day series saw students visit eight venues nationwide.
In all, Agricultural Science students from 80 schools visited the farm, while 3,000 urban and rural second level students visited Teagasc colleges and research centres nationwide and the research farm.
Agri Aware’s chairman, Richard Moeran, said: “The popularity of Ag Science as a career has been highlighted by the CAO this week, with a 17% rise in students applying for third-level honours degree courses in agriculture/horticulture.”
