BHSL applauded at Limerick Chamber Regional Business Awards for its success in new markets
BHSL received its award in recognition of its unique patent protected system to convert poultry manure into energy for heating, cooling and electricity generation on poultry farms.
Declan O’Connor, BHSL chief executive, said: “It is fantastic to be acknowledged by the Limerick business community.
"BHSL has a unique technology that has the potential to transform the global poultry industry. I’m very excited for the opportunities the coming year will bring.”
BHSL’s system is already fully operational on farms in the UK since 2010, with nine projects currently being installed.
Earlier this year, BHSL also announced a $3m pilot project with the State of Maryland to trial its technology.
The company is already building a very strong sales pipeline for product delivery in 2017 in other markets such as UK, US, Poland, Germany, Holland and New Zealand.
The Limerick Chamber Regional Business Awards recognise businesses in the region that have achieved outstanding success in the previous 12 months.
