Kilmurry McMahon Guild’s fascinator workshop a big success

A bigger crowd than expected turned out for Kilmurry McMahon Guild’s fascinator workshop, which was held in early October in the local community centre.

Tutor was Ailish McIlroy, who has featured on Xposé and designed prize-winning headgear for fashion meets around the country. An attendee says she was very informative about how to put together a striking headpiece.

“She had a lovely, relaxed demeanour and managed to convince everybody they were capable of creative genius! She brought along the basics for each fascinator. The amazing thing was that no two people produced the same result, although they may have started off with basically the same raw materials.”
