Grain grower members will be paid a rebate of €7 per tonne on all fertiliser purchases from Glanbia.

The co-op board has allocated €5m for grain growers who wish to participate in the voluntary five-year Glanbia Advance Payment scheme of interest-free cash-flow support of €20/tonne.

Glanbia chairman Henry Corbally confirmed a Glanbia harvest intake of over 190,000 tonnes, and prices (excluding Vat) before member bonuses of €112 for feed oats; €122 for feed barley; €132 for feed wheat; €132 for contracted Cassia winter barley; €132 for equine oats; €132 for full contract tonnage food grade oats delivered with €26/t premium on 80% of contract tonnage delivered; €155 for feed beans; €155 for malting barley; €172 for gluten free oats; and €357 for oilseed rape.

Henry Corbally said over 40% of Glanbia’s grain attracts some level of premium or bonus, worth around €2m to growers compared to equivalent non-contracted grains.
