Avondhu Macra’s Sinéad Guiney took the crown at the close of the International Miss Macra Festival which took place over the August bank holiday weekend.

Josephine Ryan of Co Tipperary took second place, while Aileen Sheehan of Cork’s Muskerry region was third.

The overall winners were announced at midnight last Sunday night at a gala banquet at the Anner Hotel in Thurles, Co Tipperary.
