Cattle marts report: New Minister is top topic of conversation as farmers shoot the breeze at busy marts

It was all about Michael Creed in Macroom mart on Saturday last, with talk as to what kind of Minister for Agriculture he might make.

In my Saturday evening vox pop conducted with some farmers not a million miles away from Creed’s hometown, opinions varied very much.

“I think he will be a good minister, he will be better than the last fellow anyway because he comes from an area of the country where farming is more mixed, it’s more varied.
