Gráinne McMahon appointed to senior Teagasc post

She is currently Teagasc’s curriculum development and standards officer and co-ordinator for practical learning periods. She was a horticultural lecturer for 12 years at Teagasc Kildalton.
She completes the Kildalton management team along with Paul Hennessy, principal, and Tim Ashmore, assistant principal.
Ms McMahon replaces former assistant principal Ciaran Walsh, who retired.
She said: “There is an opportunity to continue to develop Kildalton College as a centre of excellence in horticultural education for those seriously committed to the industry.”
She holds a certificate in Horticulture, a B.Agr.Sc in commercial horticulture, a Masters in Agricultural Science, and an MA in Management in Education.
