Farmhouse cheesemakers are opening their doors and gates to the Irish public with a nationwide series of free open visits during April.

The series launches with a visit from noon to 1.30pm tomorrow, hosted by Padraig O’Farrell of the Carrigaline Farmhouse, The Rock, Carrigaline, Co Cork.

Visitors will meet two working generations of this family-run business.
