The Irish Harness Racing Association has been approved for grants totalling €21,704 for upgrading its horse registration system and website.

And to help it stage an exhibition at the RDS Horse Show, promote the trotters and pacer studbooks, stage a trotter breeding conference, and develop its links with international organisations.

The grant aid comes from an equine infrastructure grant scheme operated by the Department of Agriculture, to which the IHRA is being access in 2016 for the first time.
