Agri Aware’s unique Mobile Farm makes fifth appearance in Galway
Children of all ages had the chance to meet and pet a host of newborn animals including lambs, calves, goats and chicks as well as a Dexter cow and pigs.
The Mobile Farm is an outdoor classroom that is used to educate children and adults about different farm animals and their role in producing quality food that is safe and affordable for consumers.
Galway’s Woodquay’s Country Market was a perfect location for the mobile farm as it has a long history, rich with tradition, dating as far back as the 1890s.
Farmers would travel to the market in those days to sell their potatoes and other produce such as eggs and butter.
