Macra news: UCC Macra members among the stars at Society Awards
The initiative recognises the best in University College Cork societies with a wide range of awards presented in various categories for both individuals and societies as a whole.
The club took the prize for Best Social Society, Best Photo, and runner up for Best Mental Health Promotion.
Patrice Dunlea also accepted an achievement award.
The awards capped off a successful few months for the club. During Raise and Give Week, UCC Macra committee members put on the their wellies and walked around campus with Maisy The Cow.
The walk-about, all in the aid of a bit of fun and to raise money for charities, was a huge success.
All monies raised went to UCC RAG week charities Pieta House, Marymount Hospice, Rape Crisis Network Ireland, and Surgeon Noonan.
