Technology has the potential to revolutionise Irish agriculture, Teagasc director Professor Gerry Boyle, has told a seminar in Dublin.

He said information and communications (ICT) and digital technologies have transformed many sectors of our economy and our lives from transport, logistics and manufacturing to music and books.

“The same potential exists in the agricultural sector,” he told the Teagasc ICT agri seminar at the Aviva Stadium.
