Land on your feet at spectacular coastal farm
According to selling agent Pat Harty, of Harty & Co Auctioneers in Dungarvan, the farm is currently all in pasture in an area that is also renowned for its quality of tillage land. Of the total, approximately 80 acres of it is of very good quality.
“The remainder of it was reclaimed,” explains Pat, pointing out that although much of this section is overgrown at the moment, “there is good soil.” The farm has two streams, affording a plentiful natural water supply. One of those, the agent explains, forms part of the boundary with the neighbouring farm.
“It’s probably one of the most scenically-located farms in Co Waterford,” says the agent. The holding is renowned for its quality of land and there plenty of strong dairy farmers in the area, as well as beef farmers.

There is good roadside access to the holding, which is within easy reach of the industrious coastal county town of Dungarvan (11km) and the holiday village of Ardmore (8km away), while Cork city is only an hour away via the nearby N25.
“There’s a range of very nice traditional stone slated buildings there too,” says Pat. “The residence is in need of major refurbishment – nobody has lived there in about 20 years.” The asking price puts this scenic piece of quality farm (which comes with no entitlements) at between €6,000 and €7,000 per acre with an overall guide in the region of €750,000. For a quality large holding such as this one, it seems like a tempting prospect.
