Young farmers rally to focus on career paths

Thousands of young farmers will be in in the Riverside Hotel, Macroom, Co Cork, this Saturday for the Macra na Feirme annual conference, aka The Rally.

European Agriculture Commissioner Phil Hogan, Macra president Seán Finan, and CEJA president Alan Jagoe will discuss the theme ‘Inspiration for this generation; taking the next step’ from 2pm, following a series of farm visits.

“This theme was chosen with the hope of motivating young farmers to make the most of their agricultural careers,” said Mr Finan.
