Irish cheese winners at the International Cheese Awards show in Cheshire

Glanbia led a string of Irish winners in the International Cheese Awards at Nantwich Show in Cheshire last week.

The Kilkenny-based co-op won the Kerrygold Trophy for best Irish cheddar, the Co-operative Food Award for best mature cheddar, the Tetra Pak Tebel award for best extra mature cheddar, the DSM Trophy for best single vintage cheddar, and the award for best overseas cheddar creamery block.

Kerry won the DSM Cup for best mild cheddar, and the ALPMA GB trophy.
