Teagasc hails rural broadband potential

Access to high-speed broadband to most rural areas will allow farmers to develop better and faster decision-making, according to Teagasc.

It said high-speed broadband makes it easier for farmers to interact, particularly in terms of farm maps, with Department of Agriculture scheme systems.

The new technology also allow for greater opportunities for ecommerce both in terms of purchasing and selling.
