€10,000 champion prize opens at Virginia Show

The search to find the Diageo Baileys Irish Champion Cow has started with the opening of entries for the competition at Virginia Show, Co Cavan, on August 19.

Holstein friesian breeders from Ireland are expected to have entries in the competition which has a cash prize fund of over €10,000.

The class carries a top prize of €2,500.
