Beef prices remained stable at the factories this week, after the intake edged over 30,000 head for the first time since the end of April.

The total supply last week came to within 400 head of the same week last year.

The supply of steers was 500 head more than the corresponding week in 2014, as early grass finished cattle come on stream to boost the recovery in supply.
