Large parcel of grazing farm sold in Limerick city
Although the land was, according to selling agents GVM, “a top class grazing farm”, the price was highly impressive given the farm was on the larger side, access was via a narrow cul-de-sac and shared passageway, with limited outbuildings and a derelict farmhouse.
According to agent Tom Crosse, who conducted the auction, the property boasted spectacular views of the countryside and attracted the interest of a good deal of neighbouring farmers.
With approximately 50 attending, bidding opened strongly at €500,000, quickly rising to €760,000. No further bids were forthcoming, a recess was called and a deal was concluded immediately. The buyer is believed to be a substantial farmer from a neighbouring parish.
