A strong auction result was recorded at the Limerick City Auction Rooms last Wednesday week, May 13. An 82-acre holding at Toberyquin, Ballyneety was sold for €850,000 (€10,365/acre).

Although the land was, according to selling agents GVM, “a top class grazing farm”, the price was highly impressive given the farm was on the larger side, access was via a narrow cul-de-sac and shared passageway, with limited outbuildings and a derelict farmhouse.

According to agent Tom Crosse, who conducted the auction, the property boasted spectacular views of the countryside and attracted the interest of a good deal of neighbouring farmers.
