GLAS impossible for many: ICMSA

ICMSA has called for GLAS amendments to make the scheme attractive for highly stocked farmers and farmers with small acreages.

John Comer, President of the dairy farmers’ grouping, said the rules for low emission slurry spreading, for example, were too inflexible.

He said the 100% low emission spreading requirement is too high, and a farmer should be allowed switch to the traditional method in the event of ground conditions not being suitable for the heavier low emission equipment.
