Oliver Moore: Strong interest in organic farming

There are a number of indicators to suggest that 2015 will be the most significant year for growth in the organic sector in recent times.

Teagasc’s two organic advisors, Dan Clavin and Elaine Leavy, told me that they are receiving “10 to 15 calls a day each”regarding the organic farming scheme (OFS).

And compulsory organic training courses, 10 of which have already been delivered in the current round, have waiting lists; 300 have completed these courses since they began again last November.
