IFA families can clean up in €6,000 competition

To encourage members to actively participate in a rural April spring clean, IFA has teamed up with the Irish Farm Film Producers Group (IFFPG).
IFA families can clean up in €6,000 competition

This is part of IFA’s ongoing campaign to tackle litter dumping in rural Ireland.

IFA Deputy President and Countryside Chairman, Tim O’Leary complimented the thousands of farm families who keep their local communities litter free each year.

He asked farm families to remove litter on roadsides around the farm in April and — for a chance to win one of five holiday prizes totalling €6,000 in value — register this at the ifacountryside.ie website.

IFFPG Chairman Michael Slattery said the group is delighted to be part of the initiative.

April is National Spring Clean week, with every sector of society encouraged to actively participate and take responsibility for litter, by conducting local clean-ups. Last year, an estimated 550 tonnes of litter was collected, of which 35% was recycled.

To register for National Spring Clean, go to the www.nationalspringclean.org website or call 01-4002219.
