Challenger has dominated the tracked tractor sector for three decades, with innovations such as the Mobil-trac undercarriage system for constant contact with the ground to improve traction, pulling ability, and efficiency, to reduce slip and make the ride smoother.
Challenger track tractors have an average of 41% greater surface area contacting the ground at a given time, compared to a wheeled tractor. Even weight distribution across two tracks, provides superior traction and reduced compaction, for improved yields. Now, the MT700E Series includes 47% larger fuel tanks, and a fuel-saving new engine, to allow operators spend longer in the field between refills.
The Agco 9.8-litre engine generates up to 438hp, in the MT775E, but fuel consumption has been cut up to 5%.
Hydraulic pump capacity is increased 43%, bringing hydraulic oil flow up to 85 gallons per minute. The maximum ballasted weight of the tractor has risen 8%, to 17.7kg.
